 Welcome to Chatham-Kent’s newest media web service, a site devoted exclusively to youth and adult sports across the entire municipality.

CK Sports Online.com is a project created by Mike Bennett, who has over 35 years of experience covering sports in Chatham-Kent.

Mike started his media career as a sports correspondent for the London Free Press in 1973, while still a student at Chatham Collegiate Institute.

Upon graduation from CCI, he was hired as a sports reporter by the Chatham Daily News in Nov., 1975, under the tutelage of long-time sports editor Bill Saunders.

Mike became sports editor in March of 1980, a position he held until April, 2007, when the position was eliminated.

He has worked as the public relations/marketing director at South Buxton Raceway since December, 2007, providing coverage of the racing action to newspapers and radio across southwestern Ontario as well as web services in Canada and the United States.
